Gidget Hopf

Dr. A. Gidget Hopf is President and CEO of Goodwill of the Finger Lakes and its affiliate The Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired-Goodwill Industries of Greater Rochester. Dr. Hopf serves as a Board member of Goodwill Industries International where she sits on the Executive Committee as its Vice Chair, the NY State Vision Rehabilitation Association, and also serves as Vice Chair for Public Policy and Communications for the Board of the National Association for the Employment of People who are Blind. She was named Not for Profit Executive of the Year by her community in 2009. 

Dr. Hopf earned her undergraduate degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology from SUNY Geneseo, an M.A. in Audiology and Communication Science from Kean College of New Jersey and an Ed.D degree from George Washington University in March, 2005 in Leadership and Organizational Studies. She is a recognized public speaker on the topic of Leadership and conducts workshops and courses. She is an adjunct instructor for Roberts Wesleyan College teaching in its Not for Profit Governance and Leadership course and The University of Rochester and McArdle Ramerman where she teaches a series of Leadership workshops for their Leadership and Learning Collaborative. 

She is active in the Rochester Community serving on the Board of the Rochester Rotary Charitable Trust. Dr. Hopf also is a trained Executive Coach and coaches regularly, offering her services on a pro bono basis. In addition she mentors several young women with barriers to independence. 

Dr. Hopf is married to John, her husband of 40 years; they have two daughters, Courtney who lives in London with her husband Liam and Maggie who lives in New York City.
